The meeting held on 30 March 2015 between Knysna Municipality and the SVRA refers.
Herewith feedback on some of the matters:
* Depot Manager for Sedgefield - this has been resolved;
* Water Crisis - the desalination plant works should be operational in May/June. Not sure about a brick building for next year - maybe in the future;
* Sewage system upgrade - approximately R7m has been allocated to this project. Only inlet works and mechanical improvements to be done in the next financial year;
* The Dune - the Manager: Environmental Management, Mr Mabula, has been tasked to prepare a strategy with a view to submitting it to the Section 80 Committee Meeting in June this year. Further feedback to follow thereafter;
* Disaster Management - Richard Meyer has met with John McGregor and a date has been set for a Desktop Exercise in Sedgefield that will include all role players;
* Truck stops - we are in the process of calling the owners of the trucks to inform them that they are not allowed to park their vehicles overnight. They are also fined by Mr Stemmert who resides in the area;
* Holding kennels - please see a response below that has been received from Animal Welfare on 13 April 2015;
* Swartvlei - the Planning & Development Directorate will be setting up a meeting with SANParks to discuss the matter further.
